Be A Leader in the Addiction Medicine World

Happy New Year! We are approaching the time when we elect our next slate of officers and board members for the next two years. We are looking for candidates who are willing to serve AND are looking for the opportunity to connect with the leaders at ASAM in order to bring new and innovative ideas and guidelines to our three Northern New England states. If you are interested (even a little) please contact me at molly.e.rossignol@gmail.com so I can put your name forth.

We are planning a spring annual meeting and it is shaping up well. Please be sure to mark your calendars: Friday April 28 (late afternoon start) and all day Saturday April 29, 2023. It will be in Portland, Maine at the Sable Oaks Sheraton. More information will be available soon.

Since buprenorphine legislation has had some pretty significant changes over the past several years, and now the Federal doing away with the X-waiver (and those requirements) perhaps we are all shaking our heads saying, “What does this all mean?”. We are going to have our ASAM advocacy ‘in the know’ experts speak during our monthly meeting Please be aware of this and come with your questions, thoughts and experience. In the meantime, ASAM is hosting a free webinar that will address the Appropriations Bill. It can be found and registered for here: https://elearning.asam.org/products/addiction-policy-and-the-consolidated-appropriations-act-tuesday-january-31-2023

Keep on keepin on! Thank you for all you do!
