NNESAM’s 2023 election cycle is getting underway. The 2023 elections which will be held in February-March ahead of the April 29 Annual Meeting. From now until December 29, 2022 the Board will accept nominations from the membership.
The nomination committee is seeking nominees for the office of President-Elect. In order to comply with NNESAM bylaws about geographic representation, the President- Elect in this election cycle should be from Vermont. The bylaws allow for an exception If no suitable nominee from Vermont can be found. The President-Elect serves for two years in this position, followed by two years as president, followed by two years as Immediate Past President.
The nomination committee is seeking nominations for Secretary. The Secretary serves for two years. There are no restrictions on consecutive terms.
The nomination committee is seeking nominations for Treasurer. The Treasurer serves for two years. There are no restrictions on consecutive terms.
The nomination committee is seeking nominations for Board Member at Large. The newly revised NNESAM bylaws specify expanding the NNESAM Board with “Members a Large.” These are elected Board Members without officer duties who will serve various functions in the organization over time. These are new positions and will be “phased in.” This cycle the Board will accept nominations for two positions – one will serve a two- year term and one will be a three- year term. Subsequent Members at Large will all serve three year terms. There are no restrictions on consecutive terms.
